Project Tobong | 2016
Project Tobong was a collaboration between Marshall and Indonesian artist Risang Yuwono. It was a research and development art project with the Ketoprak Tobong Kelana Bakti Budaya, one of the last remaining theatre troupes in Yogyakarta, Java. The People’s Picture | 2016
The People’s Picture is a stand alone platform for Marshall’s photo design work and commercial commissions. Recent commissions include West Ham United, Canary Wharf Group and The National Memorial Arboretum. Arboretum | National Memorial Arboretum | 2016
The National Memorial Arboretum’s new Remembrance Centre was opened in autumn 2016. Arboretum is composed of more than 5,000 photographs and is over 4 metres wide. Many of the portraits are of visitors and their families were taken on site or submitted online during a public campaign. It also includes images collected from the archives of the National Memorial Arboretum. Read more

A commission from BBC South East Today to create an artwork to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee. This toured to four locations: Towner Gallery, Turner Contemporary, Rochester Cathedral and is currently at Gatwick Airport. Read More

A commission by the BBC to create ‘The Face of World War One’, containing more than 30,000 photographs captured across the nation during the BBC World War One at Home Live Events. Read More
The Big Picture | BBC | The West Midlands 2008
The Big Picture was a commission from Audiences Central funded by the Arts Council in The West Midlands and broadcasted by the BBC. The record-breaking work of art included 112, 896 photos, and measured 857.3m2. It was unveiled outside Think tank, Birmingham Science Museum at Millennium Point. The image selected for the final mosaic was from the thousands of submissions. Read More

Rosetta Life | Hospitals Hospices | 2005-2007
Helen Marshall worked on a series of residencies in hospitals and hospices over three years to produce works and finally curate the visual arts element of the festival. An invitation from Cary Visual Art as part of their Public Art in Focus to consult with the local community.
